Vegetation Analysis as Indicator of Mangrove Degradation Level in Keboromo Village, Tayu

Mangrove degradation is one of the most common issues in coastal areas Java, which can cause ecological impacts and even disadvantage for local community. The mangrove forest be identified based on vegetation analysis results, could potentially contribute to ecosystem management rehabilitation programs areas. Mangroves Keboromo Village was cultivation area, but often get damaged by ocean waves. This study aims determine conditions ecosystems consist species composition, density, canopy cover, tree height, environmental parameters were held February 2023. method used direct observation using transect quadrants 10x10 m2. average density all stations 3.425 individuals/ha category, 575 sapling 250 seedling category. percentage cover 78.41%. height trees at 4.15 m. still compatible with water quality standard biota life. level criteria guidelines determining categorized as low, indicated >1500 >75%. Poor measured densities, may caused factors unsupportive regeneration. Based results Village, it state condition good. However, are needed keep mangroves sustainable.
